Economic & Livelihood Empowerment

Economic and skills development help alleviate poverty. This focuses on the victimized skilled and semi-skilled entrepreneurs. These efforts may result in projects that support economic security, skills development and training, and positive legislative and policy frameworks for African women. The implementation strategy is designed in such a way as to have ripple effects in the project area. The activities will focus on women of
two groups of skilled and semi-skilled entrepreneurs to provide them with economic opportunities through skill & entrepreneur training to resolve economic & unemployment issues and to build capacity
through workshops and exhibitions. The business center will also work as a place for product research,
sharing design ideas, and developing talents. Vocational Support Since its inception in 2009, WEFI has trained over 100 youth as seamstresses, hairdressers, auto mechanics, and tailors, of whom have gone on to develop home-based businesses using their new skills.
